Check For Updates

If not deactivated from Preferences>Main Windows / Startup, when running the application will check via internet if there is any available actualization, whether modules, scripts or documentation.

It also can be checked manually from Resources>Updates>Check for Updates as is shown in the current video.

Note: The update system in PixInsight 1.8 uses secure connections (TLS/SSL) by default. This works without problems on all platforms, including Mac OS X, so if your experiment problems it must be specific to your machine (some system settings perhaps). A workaround is using insecure repositories. Replacing:
